NOVEMBER MEMBER OF THE MONTH: MEGAN

This month we’re celebrating Megan as our Member of the Month.


Since joining Leo, Megan has thrown herself into every session with determination, positivity and grit. Having never done this style of training before, she’s embraced each challenge head-on, showing up consistently, working hard, and doing it all with a smile (even if it’s sometimes after the workout!).

Here’s what Megan had to say about her Leo journey so far.

What brought you to Leo, and where were you at the very beginning of your fitness journey?

I’ve always loved kicking my day off with a workout, but I was 100% getting complacent and had hit a bit of a wall with spinning, running and random YouTube workouts in my lounge. I wanted something more motivating and varied, that kept things interesting… enter Leo!


What’s it like training at Leo? What makes you show up every day?

I hadn’t realised how much I’d been missing structure, variety and community. The workouts are tough - but with the encouragement from the coaches and the team energy in the room, I’m pushing myself more than I ever was on my own. It’s challenging, fun and supportive. Plus, getting to know all the different personalities at Leo is lovely – everyone has been so welcoming – it makes showing up easy..


What’s been your biggest training achievement since joining Leo? What’s your next goal?

Just challenging myself with new training styles — I’d never really touched a barbell before Leo. And the first time I managed to do a Metcon RX (and knew what RX even meant!).

I’m not training for anything specific – but if the day comes that I can do a pull-up or a handstand press up… that will be a pretty fab day.


Has Leo influenced your life outside of training?

I actually look forward to my mornings before work. I love doing something I enjoy before the day really starts. Working from home some days, it’s also nice to get out, move, and chat with other people.


I do feel stronger…and I also definitely have more DOMs – but it’s the good kind!


What’s one thing we might not know about you? What do you do when you’re not at Leo?

When I’m not working or working out, I’m usually with friends and family, reading, walking or catching up on box sets with my other half, Tom. And I might be a 5:30am regular, but I am TERRIBLE at waking up – I sleep through everything. My elaborate alarm system is ridiculous!


What advice would you give to those just starting out or curious about Leo?

If you’re even a little curious about Leo — just go for it. You have nothing to lose, and you could have a lot to gain.
