This February, we’re so excited to celebrate Tilly as our Member of the Month, and if you’ve trained alongside her recently, you’ll know exactly why.

Tilly describes this chapter as her “comeback” journey, and what a comeback it’s been. From showing up consistently post-baby, to working incredibly hard in every single session, Tilly gives her all. She isn’t afraid to lift heavy, push the weight, and challenge herself, all while staying kind, smiley, and welcoming to everyone she meets.
She truly embraces everything Leo stands for. Whether she’s bringing her new baby along to a mum & baby class, encouraging her husband to train, welcoming new faces, or catching up with familiar ones. Tilly brings warmth and energy into the space every time she walks through the door. Her love for Leo and the community shines through in everything she does.
We’ll be celebrating Tilly with her very own Member of the Month Workout on Saturday 21st February, a workout she’s really excited to bring to Leo. It’s one not to miss, so make sure you book in via the app.
Here’s what Tilly had to say about her journey so far.
STARTING THE JOURNEY
What brought you to Leo and where were you at the very beginning of your fitness journey?
My husband and I moved from London to Bourne End, and after training at a CrossFit gym in London for five years, I knew I wanted to join one locally to keep up my training and meet new people. I had the basics, but kipping pull-ups and handstand push-ups were big goals for me when I joined Leo.
What’s it like training at Leo? What makes you show up every day?
I absolutely love it, it’s the community for me. I can really push myself one day in a METCON, then head to a Wonder Woman class or Mama and Mini the next to chat to the girlies and have a good old sweat and chat.
What’s been your biggest training achievement since joining Leo?
Gosh, I have a few! You’ll be pleased to know I finally got my HSPU and kipping pull-ups. But hitting 1:11 in Women’s Doubles at Hyrox is something I’m still incredibly proud of. My next goal is to become the fittest and strongest I’ve ever been, and hopefully sign up for another Hyrox later this year!
Has Leo influenced your life outside of training?
Most of Leo probably already know this after watching me train with a bowling ball for nine months, but I’ve recently become a mummy 🤍 Training throughout my pregnancy made a huge difference to my recovery, and getting back to the gym has helped me mentally by giving me time to do something just for me.

What’s one thing we might not know about you? What do you do when you’re not at Leo?
I love all things interiors! I work in my family business, where we design and build bespoke kitchens and furniture. We renovated our London flat and are now slowly transforming our home in Bourne End. I’m always snapping photos of different design ideas when I’m out and about and constantly changing my mind about our home interiors (sorry, Rich!).
What advice would you give to those just starting out or curious about Leo?
Just do it, it truly is a special place and I couldn’t live without it. And don’t forget to put my name down as your referral… I’ll get £100 at the smoothie bar 😉 haha

I’m incredibly proud of Tilly and the effort she’s put in over the past few months. She’s really doubled down on her training and is so motivated to make this another fantastic year at Leo. It’s been amazing seeing the variety of classes she’s been able to attend, whether that’s pushing herself hard or fitting training around our new baby. That flexibility is something we both really appreciate.

So proud of my sister Tinks being Member of the Month! (You should have seen how excited she was.) She got me to join Leo three years ago and honestly it changed my life for the better, even if she still won’t let me lower my weight or reps. Only four months after having my little niece and she’s still absolutely smashing it. If there’s one person to look up to, it’s Tinks, a real Wonder Woman.
